Vessy Miller seeks help from school officials after a traumatic incident occurs involving her English teacher, Mr. Carter. The situation becomes more complicated when the Principal accuses her of lying, leaving her vulnerable, unprotected and at the mercy of her predator.

Director's Statement:

 

Inspired by true events, Larocque found healing in writing the feature length screenplay and concept "Good Morning Sunshine."

 

In addition, Larocque hopes that this film will shed light to a topic that is often overlooked due to its explicit and cringeworthy nature. Larocque hopes, by bringing attention to this sensitive topic, it will raise awareness and prevent these situation from happening to other children. Larocque says..."Without films that dare to bring these topics forward and hold space for conversations to occur, nothing will ever change."
